I was referred suddenly under the 'two week rule' for hysteroscopy and as a result, for removal of polyps under GA. The process was extremely efficient, but I always felt cared for as an individual, very professionally , and with great kindness, good humour, and skill. I had read very positive reviews of Miss Ammar, and they were completely borne out by my own experience. She and her team deserve the highest praise.

After a hysteroscopy, Miss Ammar advised that I should have a polyp removed. I had seen Miss Ammar previously and felt confident and reassured by her professional, caring attitude. After the op, I suffered pain or ill effects. The care from the whole team in Day Case Unit and of course Miss Ammar, could not be faulted. Thank you.

Miss Ammar performed a vaginal hysterectomy, anterior and postier repair on me on 18th March 2013. It is now 8 weeks after my operation and I have just returned from my final check up. I cannot praise Miss Ammar enough. She is a very caring and competent surgeon. Everything was explain very clearly and she put me at ease the day of the operation. I can honestly say that I had no pain when I came round from the operation and this continued. I was totally amazed. I received excellent care from the nursing staff on Swift Ward at Epsom Hospital and would have no hesitation in recommending the hospital and especially Miss Ammar. I have recovered extremely well and am back to normal and this is all thanks to Miss Ammar's skill and her geniune concern for her patients.

I am now 10 days post op after a vaginal hysterectomy and anterior and posterior repair performed by Dr Katy Ammar. She inspired confidence from the initial appointment and carefully listened to all of my concerns. I was only in hospital for two nights and have not needed any pain killers since I got home. I cannot fault the care that I received in Epsom General Hospital. I feel very well and usually only feel the stitches when I cough or sneeze. I thought one way of saying thank you to Miss Ammar for her exceptional care, was to write a review. I was seen by her at a hysteroscopy clinic and from the initial examination through the pre-op review, operation, after care while still in hospital all the way to my post operative review, I have felt cared for as an individual. Miss Ammar inspired trust and confidence and I felt at ease. I particularly felt that she listened to my need and was willing to do her utmost to ensure the best treatment. She did a total abdominal hysterectomy using a bikini cut. She used her discretion to not use a 'maxi pack' (which could routinely be used). By just going in with her very small skillful hands to do the job, she spared me unnecassary pain and discomfort afterwards. I am also very impressed with the way the wound was closed. I think she could easily also be a plastic surgeon. She is a very calm and also cheerful person and very re-assuring. I am very grateful that I could be treated by Miss Ammar, who has her patients' best interest at heart.
